King of Active Singers (Active King of Singers, Active Singer King, 현역가왕) final, winner Jeon Yu-jin, Final 7 people (Top 7) (ft. Listen to final songs)

On the night of February 13, 2024, a new trot myth was written by the people.After completing a three-month long journey, the long-awaited winner of Active Singer King was born. Who will be the first active singer born by the people and the top 7 who will have the honor of representing the country for the fiery trot match between Korea and Japan?

 

 

From now on, I will begin the review of the final rounds of Active Singer King.

 

 

 

 

Final score allocation method

In the first round, 1,100 on-site voting scores from the celebrity and public judges were revealed. A total of 3,900 points are at stake this week. This week's on-site voting can only be done by the celebrity judges. A panel of 11 celebrity judges can give each person a score of up to 100 points.

 

 

In addition, 2,000 points from real-time text voting, 500 points from the public's online support vote, and 300 points from the new song's music score will be added to create the final winner and Top 7. 

 

 

Final: Song of Active Duty

The theme of the final is 'Song of Active Duty' , the one song that represents one's active life. The order of matches was arranged in reverse order of the rankings in the first round of the final. The standings for the first round of the finals are as follows. And because real-time text voting is in progress, only the highest and lowest on-site voting scores are revealed until the end of the contest.

 

 

Song of active duty sung by Maria, who finished in last place in the first game, was Joo Hyun-mi's 'Rain-Soaked Terminal' . Joo Hyun-mi's song has a special meaning to Maria. That's because I got into trot through Joo Hyun-mi's song. Maria poured everything she had into the song, and even after her song was over, she could not easily let go of the lingering feelings.

The highest was 98 points , and the lowest was 50 points. Wow~ But who give 50 points? Honestly, I think 50 points is the first score that has appeared in audition history . Isn't this score given because they are not recognized as singers?

 

 

The song that Kim Yang sang in this final was Han Jeong-moo’s ‘My Hometown in My Dreams.’ It is said that this song was a favorite song that Kim's father often sang. Unfortunately, Kim's father passed away on the 12th, a day before the finals.

 

 

Even though Kim Yang was in mourning , she decided to participate in the live broadcast , saying that her father would be happy if he was seen singing on stage . How heartbroken she must have been. Kim Yang tried his best to sing for his late father, clutching his painful heart.

I cried the whole time listening to the song. But the judges' score was cold. Kim Yang received the highest score of 88 points and the lowest score of 50 points.  

 

 

Kang Hye-yeon , who sang Shin Haeng-il's 'Give Back My Youth', received the highest score of 95 points and the lowest score of 50 points. The celebrity judge who gave a score of 50 don't seem to have much interest in evaluating. We will have to find out later why they gave such a score.

And song of the active duty LYn chose was Namjin's 'Sangsahwa' . I think this song was by far the best song played in the finals. It seems to be the  best song of all time that reflects the sincerity of LYn, who has loved Trot for a long time.

The highest score was 100 and the lowest score was 70. I don't understand why you give 70 to LYn's best song of all time. I was curious about the criteria of the celebrity judges who give such a low score, but unfortunately, they don't disclose who gives the lowest score because it's a secret vote. Holy shit!

 

 

Still, our good LYn smiled brightly. 

 

 

Song of active duty sung by Byeolsarang, a hard worker who never stops challenge, was Namjin's 'Even If I Hate You, Once Again' . Byeolsarang overcame the tension that made her hands tremble and poured her all into it to the point that her whole body shook, giving her a profound emotion.

The highest score was 100 points and the lowest score was 60 points. 

 

 

The next stage was Dahyun Kim, the golden youngest of the reigning Active king of singers. Song of active duty that Dahyun Kim chose was Na Hoonah's 'Eomae'. It was a song that brought out a ton of tears with unprecedented emotion. This song also got  the highest score of 100 points and the lowest score of 60 points.

Yoon Soo-hyun, who ranked 4th in the somewhat stable first round, selected Park Kyung-hee's 'Brilliant Light in Those Flowers' and sang it quite well.

But a shocking score came out. The highest score was 100 points and the lowest score was 40 points. 

 

 

How can I get such a score? What should I think about giving a lower-than-average score to a singer who made it to the finals? The score was so shocking that even the celebrity evaluation team murmured, "Is there an X-man?" The lowest score of 40 points that Yoon Soo-hyun received is likely to be the worst in audition history.

 

 

Ma Ijin's song was "Ong-i" by Jo Hang-jo. The song gave strength to Ma Ijin, who struggled during her time of obscurity and tried to give up her singing career. The lyrics include "How long should I run to let go of this love?" It is said that the song was meant to be for Ma Ijin, who was agonizing over the boundary between reality and dreams.

Ma Ijin, who had been unable to hold back tears since practice because of the story behind the song, finally burst into tears as soon as the song ended.

 

 

Ma Ijin was always bright and energetic, but I've never seen her like this before. By the way, even in that tearful situation, she was so cute promoting the real-time referendum.

 

 

Ma Ijin received a maximum score of 100 points and a minimum score of 70 points, and is currently tied for first place with LYn. 

 

 

Park Hye-sin said that she felt like she was hatched from an egg through 'King of Active Singers'. It is said that after appearing on King of Active singers, she received the public's attention and love for the first time in her 15 years as a singer. In order to repay people love, she promised to show her best singing even if it means falling down on stage. The song was Lee Mi-ja’s ‘There is a Reason for My Life'.

True to her promise, Park Hye-shin sang the magnificent song even more magnificently. And she received the highest score of 100 points and the lowest score of 80 points, suddenly rising to first place.

 

 

Finally, the last turn came. It was Jeon Yoo-jin's turn, who is keeping the top spot in the first round of the final round and the popular vote. Her song for the finale was "Old Poet's Song" by Han Kyung-ae.

Listening to Jeon Yu-jin's 'Old Poet's Song', I felt like I was falling into that time and emotion. By the way,  Jeon Yu-jin says that this is her first time competing in the final of an audition program. Can you believe it? 

 

 

Yujin Jeon received a maximum score of 100 points and a minimum score of 70 points, so she placed second in the second round.

 

Final results

All competitions have ended, and the rankings, which are the sum of the scores from the first round and the scores of the celebrity judges from the second round, have been revealed.

 

 

Then, the results of the public support vote and the music score were revealed as follows. 

 

 

Jeon Yu-jin maintained the undisputed first place in the public support vote and music score. However, Maria, Yoon Soo-hyun, and Kim Yang were in danger of being eliminated.

 

 

After a while, the real-time text voting score was revealed. The total number of real-time text votes was 2,266,614, of which 1,901,824 were valid votes. 

 

 

After all the tallies were completed, the final rankings were announced starting from 10th place. Kim Yang in 10th place, and Yoon Soo-hyun in 9th place were the first to be eliminated. And 7th and 8th place were skipped and 6th place was called. A surprising event occurred. Maria, who was expected to be eliminated as a result of including the public support vote, did well in the real-time text vote and ranked 6th. 

 

 

Maria herself burst into tears, perhaps because this was an unexpected result. As a result, the direction of the Top 7 became a mess in an instant. In addition, Park Hye-sin, who was a strong candidate for the championship, was pushed down to 5th place, LYn was ranked 4th, and Kim Da-hyun was ranked 3rd. LYn, who was in her 0th year of active duty, and Maria, who was in her 1st year of active duty, did big event. 

 

 

The remaining active singers were Jeon Yu-jin, Ma Ijin, Byulsarang, and Kang Hye-yeon. At first glance, it seemed like Kang Hye-yeon and Byeolsarang would compete to survive the cliff for the remaining spot in the Top 7. As expected, it was like that. I thought Kang Hye-yeon, who was relatively well-known, would have a slight advantage, but the results were different. 

 

 

Byeolsarang defeated Kang Hye-yeon and settled in the top 7. 

 

 

Now, only Jeon Yu-jin and Ma Ijin remain. Could something extraordinary happen? 

 

 

Winner: 1st active singer king

There were no surprises. Anyway, the win was Jeon Yu-jin’s. But there was a surprising fact. 

 

 

The difference between Jeon Yu-jin and Ma IJin's real-time text voting vote rates was only 0.7%. 

 

 

Top 7 members

In this way, the first active singer king, a jewel named Jeon Yu-jin, was born, and the active singer king's long journey of about 100 days was completed.

 

 

Now, all that's left is a singing competition between the Top 7 from Korea and Japan, where each country's pride is at stake. This is the 2024 Burning Trot Korea-Japan Match. They say they will prepare hard and come soon, so you may have to wait a little while.
