King of Active Singers(Active King of Singers, 현역가왕) Episode 4, Cruel Repechage Battle, and Mask Girl Out!

This 4th episode of Active Singer continues with last week's death match. Depending on the results, a large number of first-time eliminated candidates are expected to appear one after another.

Jumi vs Kim Na-hee

Kim So-you vs Yu Min-ji

Kim So-you pointed at Yu Min-ji, who was sitting next to her. It is said that Kim So-you's original strategy was to pick a weak or similar opponent and show off his or her strength. However, she said that Yu Min-ji, who was sitting next to her, suddenly provoked her by asking her if she would like to join her. Kim San-ha vs Ryu Won-jung

Second vs Hi Ryang

A cruel defeat battle

After all the competitions, 15 elimination candidates came to the stage. It's time to decide who will be eliminated. However, it is said that who will be eliminated will be decided through a repackage competition that was not announced in advance.

 

 

This is how the repechage match goes. First, 5 designated songs will be revealed, and each song can be selected by up to 3 people. The three people who chose the same song form a group and each choose their own part to sing the song. After each group's performance, the judges immediately vote for the contestant they think performed best. The person with the lowest score is ultimately eliminated, and one person from each group is eliminated, for a total of 5 people. Those who are eliminated must leave King of Active Singers immediately.

 

 

Five designated songs have been released, and elimination candidates have to choose songs according to the ranking of death match scores. Since you can't choose a song that's already full of seats, you may have to choose a song that you're not familiar with.

 

 

Now we need to prepare for the repechage match. But, oh my! We were given only 30 minutes to prepare for the showdown . There is only 30 minutes for each person to share their parts and practice . This is a truly cruel repechage match .

 

As judge Nam Jin said, if three people sing a song partially, there will inevitably be a part that suits each other depending on the tone or style. Regardless of their skills, the person who luckily sings the part that suits them will win this competition.

 

Kim J.H vs Yu M.J vs Ju Mi

This is the group that chose Kim Yong-im's 'Lover'. The song is sung one verse at a time, and I don't know how even the judges can choose after hearing this short part. Moreover, everyone is good at it!

 

 

Nevertheless, the results came out. Yu Min-ji took first place with 6 votes, Kim Ji-hyun came in second place, and Ju Mi came in third place. In the end, Jumi was eliminated from this group. The strong emotion from the preliminaries still remains, and I feel so sad.

Yoyomi vs Second vs Kang So-ri

This is the group that chos Jang Yoon-jung's '招魂'. In this group, Yo-Yomi got six votes, Second and Kang So-ri got two votes each. In this case, only one person is selected through re-voting. Eventually, Second advances to the next round. Second members, who overcame Kang So-ri and managed to advance to the next round, sheds tears in sorry and relief.

Mask Girl vs Han Bom vs Kim S.H

The death group chose Kim Yong-im's 'A Life Like Floating Weeds'. How can we choose the eliminate singer here? Everyone sang so well that they showed off their colors. Eventually, Hanbom won first place with 5 votes and Kim San-ha won second place, so Masked Girl was eliminated.
